I am very familiar with spoken english, less with written english, so please, forgive my mistakes.
LONE WOLF is a really great story, one of my favourites, maybe my favourite. For many reasons. The first one is the world created by JOE DEVER, an incredible world, with its history, religion, money, kingdoms, landscapes, creatures... You could imagine such a world to be real. And for such a world, you need a specific hero. And LONE WOLF is that kind of hero. He is not only a warrior, he is more than this. He learnt the art of war, but also all the knowledge of his world, a blend of warrior and erudite.
One of the most important thing is the evolution of the hero. Not only you can easily identify yourself with LONE WOLF, but you can also follow his evolution through his life, his adventures, from the beginning (a young warrior without much experience) till the end (a powerful half-god).
It is really nice to follow the evolution of the hero, to meet his friends, to travel around this wonderful world with him...
LONE WOLF is more than a simple fantasy story : it is an incredible universe, a fabulous world full of adventures and marvellous kingdoms.
A travel you will not regret !

you've definitely hit the nail on the head !! Joe Dever is a f* genius for having created such a coherent world with its own geography and bestiary... but I must admit the more recent books have been quite a disapointment, I dont really care for the new kai lord you embody, and I really do miss the masters of darkness, they were the epitome of evildoers... but what the hey, LW still stands as my 2nd favorit series
